She was already the gymnast most considered the greatest before Tokyo, and she will be around a long time after Tokyo, she doesn't need more medals to prove or back up anything at this point. It's really nobody's decision to make but hers whether to do an event. Tough love won't change that, but it can wake somebody up. Fighting is what got them the gold medals.
