read (v.) to translate written text into meaningful ideas within one's own mind. People usually read to gain knowledge or to awaken their imagination. Sadly, the act of reading seems to have been "bred out" of the human race. People these days would much rather desensetize themselves with stupid rap noise and violent, pornographic, and otherwise unintelligent forms of media. If you are in junior high and find it hard to read, do yourself a favor and get help. No offense! Reading is a great and powerful thing, and only by fully taking advantage of it can one open his or her mind to the possibilities of his or her own future.

Ranting is fun. Go read a book. No, your porno magazing doesn't count.

A word used to describe a situation or feat that's pretty much average, but high above your own personal standards. Combination of "radical," to describe your feelings, and "adequate," how everyone else would describe a pretty dull achievement.

"I scored two baskets today in gym."
"Aren't you terrible at basketball?"
"Normally I am; it was pretty radequate."

Reading Hole

A place one goes to in order to satisfy one's reading needs/urges. The term can be seen as a portmanteau of 'watering hole' and 'reading place'. It can refer to RL (real life) places like a local favorite public library, or online places like a beloved blog or website like Dear Blank Please Blank.

Guy1: "Damn! Riverbend's gone underground! There goes my favorite reading hole..."

Guy2: "That sucks. I loved Baghdad Burning too."

"Reading is Tech" is what one says when they see they did / said something dumb that could have been avoided if they had simply read the relevant reading.

Oh crap, I didn't see that I wasn't supposed to do that*, reading is tech.
