To pull a haelig: to leave a party without being seen or saying goodbye to anyone.

a: What happened to Fred? I thought we were all going to IHOP.

b: Dude saw his ex-girlfriend walk in the door and totally pulled a haelig. One minute we were shotgunning Natty Light and the next -- > poof < -- he was gone.

a: That guy's 6'-4". How does he do it? Every time I try to pull a haelig, I'm here for 20 minutes saying goodbye to everyone.
