A stuck up bitch that shops at Hollister and Abercrombie. They think they're the shit, and no one's better than them. They believe in fake, spray-on tans during the winter. Usually they're blonde, but if they're brunette, they have crappy orange/blonde highlights. They think that their groupie is the only "hot" ones around. They get jelouse when another hot or hotter person comes and hangs out with their friends.

Prep 1: Like, oh my gosh, did you totally see that new hot guy? Like seriously, he was soooo hot.
Prep 2: OH MY GOD, I KNOW. He was just like, so yummy..like..I think we should like..talk to him?
Prep 1: Totally..maybe we could like..get his number and go hang out at the mall..like..Saturday?

A person who dresses using brand name clothes, from American Eagle to Polo. Yes, some are stuck ups but others, like me, are just normal people who are in every club in their school, play every sport that is offered, and makes good grades. I hope everyone who hates preps, which are normally skanks, can sit back one day and realize what a prep really is.

Skank: I hate preps, they're so overachievers who think they're better than everyone else.

Bystander: No they're not, they're just not skanky and have a good fashion sense.

White, christian, upper middle class or rich, spoiled, obnoxious, old-fashioned, traditional, fancy-dressed individual who have huge egos. They also like to terrorize certain groups of people like punks, goths, average joes, etc. These people are probably the most annoying people on the east coast and most of them are a bunch of neocons.

As for the slang, prep is used to define people who are chic/elegant, but not extravagant or yuppie in any aspects. It comes from the term "prep school", or "preparatory school", prolly because members of that kinda school are usually both educationally and monetarily wealthy. That does not mean that preps are necessarily either rich or smart, even though people generally assume so. Prep is also used to define groups, such as clicks and nationalities.

Preps are commonly stereotyped as rich or wealthy kids, who wear aeropostile, or hollister. They can be seen typically at the mall, country clubs, or at party's. They are also known for being involved in lots of sports or activities associated with school.They often think that all other groups are not as good as theirs. They often hate goths, emos, punks or gangsters. Not all preps are like this and may just like the life style or the clothes they wear.

Hey, Jeff's parents have gone to Aspen for the week end. It's going to be full of preps and we are all going to get drunk. Wanna come?
