Puerto Rican

Puertorriqueño(a) is the "proper" term used to address a native islander from Puerto Rico. Do not confuse with Newyoricans, or anyone else born outside the island to Puertorriqueño parents. A real Puertorriqueño(a) knows the words to "La Borinqueña", speaks Spanish (FLUENTLY), has lived on the island, and cries to the words of "En Mi Viejo San Juan". Other terms used to refer to a person from "La Tierra del Encanto" are: Puertorro(a) = a shortened version, Borinqueño(a) = after the island's Taino name "Borikén"; and Boricua = a variant of the previous. The terms Boricua or Puertorro(a) can sometimes be insulting, particularly to an affluent person. However, average people, especially those from the "caserios", do not typically mind these terms.
¡Soy Puertorriqueño(a) y orgulloso! = I'm Puerto Rican.

If you really want to show pride, substitute Puertorriqueño(a) with Borinqueño(a).

Ex.: Ese señor es definitivamente Borinqueño. = That gentleman is definitely Puerto Rican.

¡Vaya Boricua! or ¡Vaya Puertorro(a)!: roughly translates to "Yo hommie from the island"

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is the island so beautiful on which nobody in his right mind wants to live. This shithole is bragged about as being paradise only by those Puerto Ricans living in the mainland who know they have a way out. This is the perfect place to go if you are white and would like to part ways with your wallet. Many Puerto Ricans claim to speak Castillian Spanish and pick to pieces Anglo Spanish teachers who believe in the grammatical purtiy of Spanish. Only a small fraction of Puerto Ricans living in the U.S. proper can create a grammatical construction in Spanish. If you have actually met a Puerto Rican male who has read one novel (novella for our latino friends) you have met a true celebrity.

The Antifa and the Far Left, are as Neo-Puritan, and as narrow-minded as any religious Puritan of the 1600s.

Puerto Rico

an island just next to Dominican Republic which is where the party is at. People who know how to dance, sing and use those wide hips they are born with. Luckily these people roam the whole world, wherever you go if you shout a bad word in Spanish loud enough someone will scream back and I can assure you said person will be a puertorrican. They will be loud and they will be bossy but hey they learned from the best (the americans themselves). If you ever visit their island make sure that you don't offend anyone because no matter how week they look they are stronger than you and they will have their families with them. I get why people insult the lovely loud speaking Puertorrican critters but at heart they are the nicest most trust worthy people you will ever meet.

Puerto Rican Fade

When you intentionally leave without saying goodbye.
You're at a party, and you want to go home early. You know that if you go say goodbye to your friends, they will try to convince you to stay longer. So instead you slip out without anyone seeing you leave. When your friends realize this, they will say that you did a "Puerto Rican" or "Puerto Rican Fade"

This is a phrase used in South Africa. I'm not sure if its used anywhere else in the world. I cant seem to find the origins.
