Mandy

"Mandy" is short for Mandrax - a sedative drug similar to Quaaludes (or "ludes").

Popular in the 1960s and 70s as a recreational drug, effects include relaxation, euphoria and drowsiness - also reducing heart rate and respiration.

Mandy is mentioned in the Frank Zappa song "Flakes", in the line "Wanna buy some Mandies, Bob?"
