ok, fucking assholes whoev. you are.
you people think cheerleaders are slutty, popular(obv., we are) and rich and stupid. but we are not. we have fellings too. we hangout with only our click because we practice like 5 times a day, and those are the people who we just come in a package with. we go to competitions together and stay at hotels and party all night unlike boring nerds. bahahahhahahah. we have sleepovers like there is no tommorow. thats just the way we roll. there is no (stereotype) cheerleader, we are all different! everyone thinks that we have short little skirts and slutty tops but we dont. we just cheer because its fun and i rather be up and doing something then sitting on the couch all day or kicking, strowing, batting, and bouncing around balls all day, thats just plain old boring. think about it.

Get the cheerleading mug.cheerleading is officially a sport, and where i cheer we are not aloud to wear make up, and we do sweat, we lift weights and people(and yeah they do weigh more than 100) we break backs necks and bones no one ever knew we had. we dedicate most of our lives to cheering, we have to maintain higher than a C average(thats when you try out too) and most after noons are spent in either a not air conditioned gym or 108 degree weather, not aloud to wear shorts shorter than your finger tips and only t-shirts. if your late? you run for 1.5 an hour and do push ups for the next half, or longer until your coach is sick of looking at you and sends you home. water break? yeah right. anorexic not even. all the cheerleaders i know are the most greedy people, EVER. Your not aloud to date the football players. Or basketball players. no talking in line. no suspinsions or detentions or warnings. NOTHING. cheerleading is harder than anyother sport. oh and it last more than a season, ITS A YEAR THING. so before you say cheerleading isnt a sport do it for about a year then see what you think about it.
Cheerleading isn't just jumping around being cute yelling go team go. it envolves dedication and sweat.

Get the cheerleading mug.Cheerleading is widely becoming a sport in the athletic community. While yes, it requires certain spunk and nice facials, makeup and nice hair are optional. Those who say cheerleading is not a sport are those who either a) didnt make the team and are therefore pissed or b) have no idea how the hell to toss people feet in the air, stretch unbelievably, or use both mind and body at once. Cheering requires great strength, and those who dont believe may try it and pull all the muscles in their body, resulting in the pain they deserve for criticizing others for something they have probably never tried.

Get the cheerleading mug.cheerleading is more often than not mistaken as a pointless activity rather than a sport.. but that common misconception is typically coming from the ones who didnt make the cut at tryouts or simply didnt even try because they knew they had no chance. obviously sideline cheering doesnt involve any sort of competing, but it does require coordination and strength depending on how good the squad is... on the other hand... competative cheer is most definitely a sport, and to anyone who thinks otherwise im sure youve never watched a competion and i garauntee you couldnt make it through one routine no matter how "in shape" you may be... dont believe me check youtube "cheerleading worlds"

Get the cheerleading mug.1) A highly debated and widely controvertial version of gymnastics - on people, not equipment.
see cheerleading for the many, many arguements and the huge amount of pride - both of cheerleaders and those against who refuse to acknowledge other's opinions.
2) American sport, generally known in England from high-school movies/TV shows and portrayed in very bad lights. Also, not available in many English schools
3) Generally all girls, but many guys cheerlead too (and they're not always gay)

Get the Cheerleading mug.Okay, as a cheerleader of 10 years, and my friend being a cheerleader for 11 years it IS a sport! Every other sport you have a back up, in cheerleading if you hurt yourself in warm up's or someone dosn't show, you don't have a back up, or a second string. To be a cheerleader you have to be able to dance, cheer, jump, stunt, tumble, in front of almost 100 people or more everytime you cheer. You are being judged on every move you make. They don't know how many hours, tears, and heart you put into it. You mess up one time, and it's noticed and they remember it, but if you do it right, chances are they wont. Cheerleading is a way of life, shared by a chosen few,
It is working as a unit in everything you do.
Cheerleading is rivalry, the competition makes you strong,
It is sharing secrets and tears, learning to get along.
Cheerleading is that ongoing drive to be the very best,
It is patience, perseverance, and very little rest.
Cheerleading is having poise and charm with every word you say,
It is total dedication twenty-four hours a day.
It is always being ready with encouragement or a smile,
Cheerleading is your chance to express your individual style.
Cheerleading is reaching out to comfort a sister who is sad,
It is defending each other in the good times and the bad.
Cheerleaders are always there whenever someone asks,
They treasure the present moment and let go of the past.
Cheerleading is a talent to be able to shine on cue,
It is hiding the pain and anguish that if only people knew.
Cheerleaders after all, are real people that sometimes get down,
but when they're in the spotlight, they must never put on a frown.
Cheerleaders are actresses, always ready to go,
That is why it is important for all the world to know;
Not every girl can be a cheerleader, it takes a special kind.
Cheerleaders are full of life and a little bit out of their minds.
They know how to have fun and not afriad to make fools of themself's will doing it.
They get up early in the morning to go to a game, match,or a compatation.
They put on their shoes, uniform, and curl their hair.
They don't only cheer in groups.
They arnt all stuck up girls, who tell you what to wear.
Get to know a real one, before you go and judge us all, because hunny lets face it, why would anyone want to date a girl that looks like man when they play the sport, and ater when they can have a cheerleader, who looks like a girl when they play their sport, and have a girl body, that's nicer than most?
It's hard to be humble when you can jump, stunt, and tumble.
