myspace poser

someone who'll post a picture of themselves on myspace from basically a different era in their lives, i.e. a really skinner period in their lives whereas now they're really fat and barley recognizable. A fake, false, posing individual.

Man, did you see Laura's myspace page?? She used that picture of herself back when she was in high school... Seven years ago and before she had 5 kids!!

poseur

someone who changes so other people will like them more or to fit into a certian group putting all the like aside. poeple who are poseurs personally make me sick and need to learn to be themselves. some of my friends have become totally fakes and i barely know them anymore and they make me kinda want to punch them in the face.

"i like to do, say, and wear alot of things but people either think im weird or gay so im gonna try to be emo so my girlfriend and peers will like me more, even if someone who really cares about me thinks it makes me a poseur"

poseur

Poseur is a truly moronic term used primarily by those who also meet the traditional definition of poseur (i.e. "trying to be something they're not". The reality is, though, poseurdom is a stage of adolescence. "Poseurs" are simply trying to find themselves, and, as a result, may go through nearly every phase there is. Just like you, the prep turned gangster turned goth turned emo turned skater is trying to establish who they really are.

The only reason one person refers to another as a poseur is because they wish to be seen as "hardcore" by insulting others.
