If Acey promised Snakes only "ten pissent" in return for "getting the stuff", said shifty-eyed sneak might have resentfully viewed said minuscule-sector dole-out as being "tempercent", considering all of the effort and/or danger that he'd likely had to go through in order to obtain said valuable object/information, especially when it included his having to also guardedly interact with the dangerous Tommy-gun-wielding Johnny merely to collect his payment!
