Misspelling of "epic". Used first by illiterate gen alpha ( / late gen Z) gamers who hear the word "epic" as "epig" and then spell it that way. Sometimes the word is used ironically but there is no shortage of braindead kids who think the word is "epig".

10 y/o fortnite kid: "what did you get on your reading quiz"
other 10 y/o fortnite kid: "i got an E for E-literate"
first kid: "more like E for epig amirite"
