Example, Paul yells upstairs to Pete, 'Shit man, strewth it's straya'. Pete says (he heard), :the shit fan and spewed out every layer'. Paul knows Pete didn't hear right and tells Pete, 'you are wearing your ear shoes' and to 'take them off and to try again.'
