Ponk

Derogatory term used for the musical genre combining pop and punk (also known as pop punk). Bands like Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and Blink 182 all fall into the Ponk category. Similarly, people who listen to Ponk can be called Ponkers.

plank doctor

A plank doctor is a professional in the art of plank study. Plank doctors are recruited by organisations to seek out 'planks' in their workplaces. Planks being socially inept, smelly bastards. Plank doctors attempt to cleanse and heal these people, if a solution is not found the plank is usually fobbed off into a ditch.

ponk

It is a word that some of my friends and I have used to describe poppy punk type bands. Another definition mentioned Blink 182, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte. Those but we also drop Avril Lavigne into that group, along with Yellowcard, new Green Day, and just generally, punk for the masses, instead of true, good rebellious punk. This is more rebellious conformist music, for people who want to be rebellious without actually trying.

No, I don't listen to that station, they're all ponky.
