Teaching Latin

Verb (present tense) To make something up as you go along.
No latin teacher has ever heard actual latin spoken. So in to a degree they are making up how it sounds.

Mike what do you know about sailing, how are you going to going to win the regatta? “I’m going to have to really be teaching latin if I want to win”

“The state shut down my restaurant because of Covid-19 I’m going to have to be teaching latin to make rent.”

ESL Teaching

A "job" that many grifters, low-lifes, simpletons and garden variety retards do while living abroad as an expat. Many, if not all, of those that are currently teaching ESL have failed astronomically in their home country. This includes financially owning themselves by getting one of the many useless degrees offered by today's university. An incompetence to use any job-hunting website. It also includes burning a variety of bridges with all of their friends, associates and family members. And finally, it includes a general sense of running from all responsibility due to a severe case of arrested development.

Ironically, many of their students, ESL Speakers, are trying to have a better life, work hard and take life head on.

Blue-haired coffee shop barista: I double majored in English Creative Writing with an emphasis on poetry, and general Philosophy, and I've had it. I've been working here for 6 long years. Too long, too long. Next week, I'm moving for an ESL Teaching job abroad for $800/month. It's GOOD money, and allows me to save each month to pay off my $120,000 of student debt.

reverse/hypocritical teaching

Refers to where a schoolteacher requests his students to tell him the answer to a English/history question, math problem, etc. ("Now --- who can tell me what the answer is in this case?", or "I want you to fill in the blank on your page there, to tell me what the answer is")... not only does this strange behavior indicate that the teacher is apparently not qualified for his job, since **he** seemingly doesn't even know the answer himself (plus maybe the question is even too difficult/advanced for his students, if even he --- as an "educated grownup" --- doesn't even seem to know the answer; perhaps he should therefore not even be asking this excessively-advanced question of his much-younger/less-learned students), but it also directly flies in the face of his otherwise strict policy of never answering a question that a student asks **him** about a particular example on a test, but instead insisting that the student laboriously toil to find out the answer for himself.

Disgruntled second-grade student: I wish they'd let us have a better-informed teacher --- she expects US to supply HER with knowledge many times every day, rather than HER teaching US, the way she's supposed to! Talk about reverse/hypocritical teaching --- where'd SHE ever get her teacher's certification, anyway, if she's THAT dumb and uneducated?!??
