Cultural slumming

To immerse yourself or participate in a "lower culture," as a way of going on a cultural vacation and generally feeling better about yourself and your specific identity group.

Deeply tied to elitism, and often racism. Or just whitebread boredom.

Johnny Whiteguy hung out in the 'hood on weekends, to kick it with the brothers, check out the sisters, and play ball, but mostly to pursue his annoying habit of cultural slumming.

Equally amazing to, or more amazing than the Shamwow. Something which contains a completely inordinate amount of sheer godliness and could probably be sold in an infomercial.

Guy 1: My girlfriend gave me deep throat last night that went on for like, hours.

something that basically doing bad or is undesirable. Commonly used in Washington DC slang. also see "slummin".

Ay, I don't know what was up with Tony on the basketball court today. Usually he scores at least 12 points per game, but today he was slumming -- only scoring 3 points and giving 4 turn overs.
