The models ending in x900 indicates that is a 12 core/24 thread CPU, while models ending in x950 indicates that is a 16 core/32 thread CPU. The AM4 socket is the first to bring 16 cores to desktop socket. Nowadays, with the new 7000 series, AMD has revamped the Ryzen 9 with 3D V-cache as well with the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D.
