recieve

A misspelling of a simple word children learn to spell correctly at around 8 or 9. That's not criticism - it's observation and it's only an action of "smartarses" to point out errors when they do it badly. Spelling is easy - it's the writing which takes thought.

A combination of the words recipe and repertoire.
What recipes you know, or how many recipes you know. can be used in terms of cooking recipes, chemical recipes, drink recipes, etc.

My recirtoire is quite small, so my husband gets bored easily with the dinner choices.

Recieve is an extremely common and irritating misspelling of Receive. Receive, as you know, means to have aquired something. If you see the word 'Recieve' written anywhere, criticise whoever wrote it. their spelling pure ignorance.

examples of stupid mistakes are all around us. recieve is one of them.

recitation

This must be unique to NYU, because nobody I've talked to at any other school has heard of it. It's a small group of people from a larger lecture who have to meet with a grad student for a smaller class session that allows students to discuss the material covered in the lecture.

I might possibly pass my liberal art class because we discussed the lecture in my recitation.
