Prog Party

A "progressive" party with several "stops".

Participants spend time at each stop, eventually ending together at the final prog stop.

Often, each stop is themed.

For example, in an around-the-world prog party, each stop will have the theme of a different place.
Person 1: Hey, are you going to the prog party?
Person 2: Nah, I'm busy until about midnight.
Person 1: Well, that's when we end at the final prog stop. You should come!

A person, usually male and ugly, who plays in a progressive rock band and tries to get laid. Drummers and singers are usually successful, but keyboardists never get ass. Prog whores are an especially dumb species because everyone knows you can't get girls by playing prog rock.
Pain of Salvation are such prog whores, because they have lots of groupies.

Prog rock

a genre created for guitarists with massive egos and small packages that compensate by overuse of excessive amounts of footpedals and fans who analyse each aspect of a song
typical person: nothing like a good ol' rock track with a sweet guitar solo!

Prog-fan: rock track? or prog rock track? what pedals did he use? Delay? Flanger? Chorus? Was it in D minor? was he in an alternate tuning?
