pixelbitching

Originating with the point and click adventure games that the computer gaming market was overflowing with in the 80's and 90's, pixelbitching is the act of sweeping your mouse cursor across any given screen of such a game, in order to find the minute cluster of pixels you need to progress. Often used by gamers as a last resort when they can't find any other items/pathways to proceed.

Pixelvision

The means by which mid-major basketball fans watch their favorite and not-so-favorite teams on the Internet in teeny-tiny windows. Pixelvision sometimes can be awesome, sometimes can be crappy, but ALWAYS gets the job done.

pixel-fucking

When someone pays way too much attention looking at a visual effects shot in a film. Often happens when examining the grain of a composite element to make sure it matches the film stock. Someone who pixel-fucks pays more attention to things like grain than the overall effectiveness of the shot. This is often because they are small-minded bean-counters, and miss the point of a shot entirely.

Someone who is attracted to pixels, usually copy and pastes who think having an online boyfriend for a day is quirky. These people Commonly use "BAHAHHAA", "LMAOO WHAT", "-", "<3" Etc.

Pixelface

Generic term for computer screen based life/experience.
Similar to the term 'Chalkface' used by teachers and educators, which in turn derived from the term 'Coalface' as used by miners.
First coined on the "Poor Attitude' blog.
