"Pékiss" is a pejorative french word used in Quebec to designate a xenophobic and/or misogynous person. When someone talks about how immigrants steal our jobs, how the Quebec culture will be swallowed and replaced by immigrant traditions or if someone speaks about how it is important to preserve the rights of the "Québécois de souche" (Original Quebecer), this person is considered a "Pékiss".

Pekin

A very small town of less than 200 people located between Lonaconing and Westernport. It is officially part of Lonaconing now, but the area is still know as Pekin or Nikep. There are a couple stories as to why the small town has two names. The actual story is most likely lost in history.
