A guy who secretly loves his female 'friend', and may go out of his way to accommodate her (like moving her couch). Either the guy was shot-down early on and was placed in the friend-zone, or he never had the balls to ask her out and inadvertently placed himself in the friend zone.

Orbiter

The third wheel that invades time with potential couples. He is hung up on the girl that invites him to hang out only out of pity. While hanging out with the actual guy she is interested in, an orbiter will constantly text her some really lame shit in hopes to get invited to the festivities. Ultimately, he will invite himself over and make things extremely akward among the potential couple.

Girl: Look what my friend text me
Guy: Lemme see
Orbiter's Text Message: are you hungry? im so depressed and hungry...luckily food is the cure to depression! ;)
Guy: WOW.
Girl: haha
Guy: Is he being serious?
Girl: haha, yes he is bringing me food.

Orbit

Focusing all of one's attention and energy on a specific person whenever they're around, typically done in large groups especially on the internet/social media but also in real life. The orbiter(s) likely have different reasons for orbiting, usually to gain something. May also include shifting their personal beliefs and opinions to match the person being orbited, and constantly praising them or doing their best not to anger.

Ex. 1
Guy 1: Did you see Sarah's newest selfie on Instagram?
Guy 2: Yeah, it got tons of likes so fast. Everyone's kissing up to her in the comments too.
Guy 1: Yeah. I like her pink hair though.
Guy 2: I thought you didn't like dyed hair?
Guy 1: I don't, but it looks good on her. I mentioned it in my DM to her.
Guy 2: I never thought you would orbit her too.

Ex 2:
Guy 1: You ever notice how a group of people always forms around Derek? Everyone tries to sit next to him at lunch, or in class.
Guy 2: That's what happens when you're popular. People will orbit you, and sometimes you get popular just by hanging with them, especially if they like you.
Guy 1: Kinda sucks that Mike, Joey, and Ashley stopped sitting with us though.
Guy 2: They'll be back when Derek is absent or something.
