Manbed

An unfortunate occurance where multiple people of the male gender are forced (generally by space constraints) to sleep in the same bed. The acceptable method for sleeping in Manbed is for all parties involved to sleep on different layers of blankets, to reduce the risk of unwanted contact or spooning.

We got a room at the Holiday Inn, but when we got there they only had one King size bed. Manbed ensued.

Macbeth

A play that is rumored in the theatre community to be cursed. No not ever say the name of this play in a theatre when not doing this play. Bad things happen.

This play is often referred to as the "M-word" or "The Scottish play", "The Unmentionable" or simply, "That play", if it is necessary to make reference to it.

Anyone who utters the word must step out of the dressing room, spin around three times, spit, and recite the line "fair thoughts and happy hours attend you" (from The Merchant of Venice) and beg on their knees to be let back in.

Shannon: Hey Jake! Guess what? Macbeth!
Jake: No!!! You can't say that word!
Shannon: Hahaha! It is so fun to mess with you. Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth!

manbearpig

From an episode of South Park featuring Al Gore. In the episode Gore is depicted as a paranoid guy who believes in a non-existent monster--"Manbearpig"--that is part man, part bear, and part pig. He believes the Manbearpig is a great threat.

South Park's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, don't believe in global warming and the episode "Manbearpig" is their way of saying that when Al Gore talks about the dangers of global warming he is getting all worked up over something that doesn't even exist.

"The South Park guys think that global warming is a myth just like the Manbearpig, even though there's tons of evidence that it's happening, and they make fun of Gore for worrying about it."

manbender

Similar to a bender of many sorts (alcohol, coke, life, etc), a manbender describes the life of a single lady out to enjoy herself and meet guys with a non-committal attitude. She is not looking for love or marriage, just to have a good time and add men to the 'rotation'. This might involve banging, kissing, grinding up on the D-floor, or all of the above. "Just get'r done and on to the next one!"

Katie: I've been on a huge manbender this month, I was supposed to meet up with Mike last night but then I met this guy Derek and shit got real. Steve was texting me all night too, but I'm over him...and then there's Brad who wants to go for drinks but I madeout with his friend John two weeks ago so..."
