To make a decision about what to eat next, that reflects what might happen later. The avoidance of an unfortunate outcome, out of one or both ends of the digestive system, resulting from choosing not to eat a certain item, dish, or at a particular food establishment.

Larry decided to use good gastrosense and order french toast at the family dining establishment. His friends all ordered the chili topped with jalapenos, and harassed Larry about his panzy-like french food choice. However, later that day, Larry felt good, while his friends all were hugging toilets and praying to the porcelain gods.
