PC Elitist

A PC Elitist is someone who trashes on people who play video games on console just because they play those games on console. They also will sometimes trash on people who have budget systems and cant afford a top of the line system. They will trash and harass gamers who do not play on pc and who don't spend enough money on a pc . They think that they are better than everyone else because they spent X amount of money on their rig and that they play on the best platform. They needlessly harm innocent gamers who just want to play video games, they are just a terrible part of the pc community that gives it a bad name.
They are not:
-someone who hates/dislikes consoles
-Someone who believes pc is better than a console
-Someone who trashes/debunks a console gamers video about how console is better(when their reasons are wrong ie. consoles outperform pc's)

-a gamer who plays on pc

Console Gamer: Hey do you want to play some Cod on Xbox later?
PC Elitist: You fucking console peasant! You play on your shitty console and don't even deserve to be called a gamer. Stop playing games you fucking peasant
(all the "console peasant" did wrong was play video games on a console)
Console Gamer: Hey PC gamers can i have some help buying a pc? i don't know a lot about them and would like some help.
PC Elitist; No! go back to your shitty console we don't want your kind here you filthy peasant!

elitist bastard

One is arrogant and egotistical, and believes they are superior to others, for a reason that is petty, a reason that is questionable or based on opinion, or for being in a 'better' situation than others placed entirely on luck and not one's actual experiences (such as a parent's wealth).

As a result, they are prejudiced to those that they consider to be less 'elite'. To those that are of equal or higher status, they will either show more respect to, or envy.

Brandon is an elitist bastard, because he believes his desktop screenshot is better than anybody elses and makes fun of others because of it.

The attempted to by Conservatives and Liberals to lable the other as being elitist. Both sides fail to recognize the fact that there elitist on both sides of the political spectrum.

The debate about the Conservative and Liberal elite is the reason why the Elitist Paradox exist.

Metal Elitist

A person who believes their metal music is superior to other people's music. These people only listen to metal music and categorize metal through sub-genres. Some metal elitists are so wound up, that they tend to only listen to one type of metal sub-genre. Metal Elitists are usually found listening to underground metal bands and cut down other people's musical taste if it is not up to par with their own.

Someone who is an elitist for the video game series shin megami tensei. Unlike the persona fans, these people have played every smt game ever, and that (similar to the person fan) makes up a large part of their life. They are also commonly seen telling person fans to play a real smt game.

Elitism

Elitism is the feeling or notion that oneself or their group- along with the accompanying ideals and standards- are better than another person's or group's. Contrary to most of the ill-informed definitions given on UD, Elitism is NOT a trait found only in the weak-minded, or those incapable of formulating their own views. It actually is very common to find Elitism in fields such as Physics and other science, since not all scientists conform to the same theories. While it may inhibit progress in some instances, it does keep a rough accepted norm for what is logical to believe.

When Quantum Mechanics was first proposed, many Physicists refused to accept that it could be correct, which is an example of sensible Elitism, as no theory in Physics had ever claimed anything like it.

The U.S. Government houses extreme amounts of Elitism, none of which is productive to the country.

Metal Elitist

A person who hates most metal that is popular, and would rather listen to some shitty metal band with a name nobody would care to pronounce correctly and a fan base of 5 people in the whole world. Anymore is considered too popular for their liking and is automatically deemed a shit band. They will flame the 13 year olds who mistake nu-metal bands for actual metal.

Metal Elitist: Dimmu Borgir? They suck shit balls. They're sellouts, and their shitty music isn't metal. Go listen to some Korpiklaani.

Oh wait, I just found out that 10 kids at my school like them, nevermind, they suck ballsack also.
