Domo Arigato

a phrase in the Japanese language that means "thank you very much". Made popular in Western culture by the 1983 hit "Mr. Roberto" (also known as "Kilroy Was Here", "The Modern Man" and "Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto") by the band Styx. This is how many Americans learned the phrase.

after the Japanese man took a picture of me (sitting in two countries at the same time!) at the U.S. - Canada border mark on the Niagara Falls Peace Bridge I thanked him by saying "Domo arigato". He smiled and shook my hand.

doomosphere

The zone of doom on earth that comprises a population of realists who recognize the global biosphere is on an irreversible trajectory toward collapse and mass extinction, due to industrialized human behavior and ectivity. Biospheric collapse will likely result in a planet bereft of complex life for millions of years and possibly forever, as the meltdown of the world’s 450+ nuclear reactors may strip earth of its atmosphere, leaving it cold and lifeless, like Mars. Why go to Mars when we can have it right here on Earth?

Basically, “we’re FUCKED!”
