dood (dooh-duh): a less formal usage of the word “dude” (due-duh), to be used as a pleasant and slightly endearing address to friends.
Friend 1: Hey Friend 2, it's nice seeing you--how have you been?
Friend 2: I've been doing well man, it's nice to see you too dood!

An androgynous term of endearment. Mitigates the use of “dude” and “dudette” by incorporating everyone under one term. Used in such a way to convey friendship without sounding like out-dated slang.
Jack: “Hey dood! I was wondering if you wanted to go get pizza with jimmy?”
Jane: “Oh definitely my dood”
