A slang word popular in Somerset, England. Referring to something which happened some time ago, typically a number of months. Although generally speaking its pretty vague and could refer to anything from between a few minutes to several years ago.

'What was that film we watched backalong, you know the spinny one with the corporate spies and the water an' that?'

In sports, someone who shamelessly cheers for a particular team not because he likes them or follows them faithfully, but only because that particular team is the "popular" choice or has been or is the top team in their specific sport recently. When that team which bandwagoners follow falls from grace, they gleefully jump on the next teams bandwagon and cheer for that team.

All Lakers fans are bandwagoners, ALL OF THEM, except maybe Jack Nicholson.

MMA Bandwagon

Bandwagon fan following of MMA or specifically the UFC due to it's gaing attention and so people want to be apart of it. Characteristics of a MMA Bandwagon fan would be someone you saw who a couple of months go that knew nothing of the sport, then all of sudden is seen wearing a "Tapout" or some other company's clothing in an attempt to look "with it" (even if he knows nothing of the sport and still calls MMA "UFC Fighting" or thinks Chuck Liddell is the indestructible shit).

Joe Rogan: "I swear to god I'm tired of these fuckin' MMA Bandwagon faggots. I can't tell you how many these idiots I see. They come to me like 'hey who do you think would win between Chuck Liddell and Fedor' and or 'I want to be a UFC fighter and want to train in UFC fighting' and I'm like....WHAT THE FUCK GOD DAMN IT!!"
