tivo chat

Chatting on IM when you know the other person is not actually at their computer. The chat is time-shifted like Tivo and you know that your 'instant' message will not be immediately read. Instead you chat knowing that the messages will not be read until the other person returns to their computer.

me: Tivo chat time
me: u should have heard the ruckus whn my p's came home
me: give me a holla whn ur back
me: i'll b on cell @ the beach byotch
me: going 4 a dip in de ocean!
me: ciao

The feeling of guilt when you realize you have recorded more shows than you have time to watch.

"My TiVO is recording 30 hours of shows everyday...I don't have time for anything else. I'm suffering from TiVO guilt."

Shi-tivo

a state of television frustration.

example-When your wife or girlfriend simultaneously records crap shows (ex. Jerseylicious, Billy the Exterminator, or Real Housewives of the...) on the DVR, thus preventing quality television viewing.

I wanted to watch the game last night, but Tina logjammed the DVR with garbage. Shi-tivo!

Leaving the seat up on the TiVo

To leave the TV on a channel that annoys someone else in the house when turning off the TV.

I get SO mad when I see the Lifetime network everytime I turn the tv on. I started Leaving the seat up on the TiVo and changing the channel to NFL Network before I turn the TV off.

When a person forgets something they were thinking about (usually a recent thought) and then is able to remember it again by rewinding back through your thoughts to recall the original thought.
