This definition is well needed on this platform: The fundamental idea that racism toward white people is not as bad as racism towards other minority groups. Yes, a minority can be racist towards a white person, but the inherent idea of reverse racism is that the discrimination minorities face solely because of their race should not be compared to the "so -called" discrimination that white people face. When white people are denied jobs because of their physical characteristics associated with their race, denied housing in a certain neighborhood because of their race, denied admission into a school SOLELY because of their race (that exceeds the thousands of minority groups rejected from schools throughout American history) , then they might be able to complain about racism. When white people are killed solely because of their race or have their academic credentials questioned because of their race, then they can complain about racism. Until this happens, white people should not compare the racist comments (because that's literally as bad as racism gets for them) to the racist actions that have literally killed millions of minorities throughout American history because it is an unequal comparison and utterly disrespectful to the minority groups that have been murdered because of a God-given physical characteristic.

Compound noun. In its most basic sense, reverse racism implies the opposite of good old, healthy, classic racism the way it was always meant to be - against black people. A reliable source of white complaints about affirmative action and words like "cracker". Apparently, hypocrisyis an apt synonym, implying that non-whites have no right to weild the weapons of a damning social construct that was invented to be used against them for political and monetary gain. Isn't it obvious that today's reverse racism hurts white people far more than centuries of state-sanctioned violence and systematic oppression ever could?
Everyone would have forgotten all about the whole race issue by now if black people weren't constantly throwing reverse racism in our faces!

White college kids like to talk about reverse racism because they miss their sense of entitlement and are probably racists.

Reverse racism is a term used to try and explain that some people are using the term "racism" itself in a racist manner by calling someone racist based on their skin colour.
"Only (enter race here) people can be racist."
The person saying this is guilty of the term 'reverse racism' as they themselves are actually being the racists by blanketing a whole race as being racist.
