Magic: The Gathering

The original collectable card game (CCG), where players purchase packs of randomized cards and assemble decks used to compete against others. Created by the Washington-based company Wizards of the Coast, Magic: The Gathering achieved great popularity in the early-to-mid 1990s, and paved the way for other CCGs such as Legend of the Five Rings and Pokemon. Magic: The Gathering still remains popular to this day, although not to the same level as it used to.

The player's Magic: The Gathering collection contained over a thousand cards.

Paltering

Paltering (gerund or verb) and palter (verb) refer to an extremely common practice of lying and deceiving with true statements. Probably the most common form of paltering (especially among politicians and interviewees on media) is answering a challenging or embarrassing question with a statement which is true but does not address the original question. Frustrated questioners sense the lie, but instead of identifying the paltering, often rephrase and repeat their original question. Strangely, very few know this word and its phenomenon, thinking a lie must be only a misstatement of fact. The actual best card game ever created in the known universe. It is a strategy and math game based in various settings, called planes. To win a match of magic you must amass an army of creatures to overrun your opponent, or use other methods like spells. Also everyone who plays will never do drugs because they have no money, except for special cases.
