Mister Charlie

A term for white people in general, not as derogatory as "ofay", or "honkey", but not complimentary either. The term first came into general use, and noticed by the society outside the African-American community, in the book by the late author James Baldwin, in his seminal book "Blues For Mister Charlie". Often abbreviated "Charlie".

"I've been trying to get a job downtown, but Mister Charlie won't give me a chance...he's locked-down tight".

Mickster

A term for a non-committal, yet successful, single professional female that has surpassed the dreaded 30 year old mark. Micksters aren't quite like cougars, but they are not far off the mark. They think they can still relate with the twenty something crowd and often congregate in dive bars and watering holes during happy hour. Girly drinks such as cosmos don't apply to Micksters and they are satisfied shot-gunning heavily hopped up beers. Micksters are often characterized by their witty personalities and sensible attire such as comfortable flat shoes. You will never see a Mickster with a boyfriend because they are too busy being non-committal and downing said alcoholic beverages. If gone unchecked a Mickster will go straight passing cougar status and enter "sugar mama" status after 10 years.

I hit it off with this chick at the bar but she totally blew me off. What a Mickster!

I got passed up for a promotion at work by a Mickster. She wasn't even excited and went straight to happy hour for an IPA.

I got Mickster'ed at the bar after unsuccessfully trying to get her number for 3 hours!

sisters before misters

The girl rule that your friends are always more important than your boyfriends. Basically the girl version of bros before hoes, except the title doesn't sound like an insult to women. Also, there's an unwritten sub-rule: if you catch your friend's boyfriend cheating, YOU MUST TELL HER ASAP!

Sometimes called chicks before dicks.

Amy's boyfriend was being such a jerk to her BFF, so she dumped him, even though she still really liked him. What an awesome friend Amy is, putting sisters before misters like that!

Sisters from different misters

Best friends; the people who know your flaws and love you for them. The ones who comfort you when you're down, love you when no one else does, and love you even more for the mistakes you make. The ones that become family, rather than friends. Sisters from different misters are the girls you can run to with anything: silly crushes, abnormal questions, retarded jokes, crazy stories, FML moments, and bad hair days. The girls that keep you in line when your being a crazy bitch, and keep your chin up when you don't have the strength to do anything but cry. The ones who you spend every day with doing nothing but sleeping 'til one, watching movies all day, playing on Facebook, and finally getting ready at eight 'o clock only to drag main trying to find something to do. The girls who make fun of your silly little traits, and know you inside and out because you spend every waking moment together (and even not the waking ones). Sisters from different misters is more than a friendship, its forever, its sisterhood, and the ultimate bond.

Tanner: "dang, those girls spend so much time together, they must be pretty good friends."
Blake: "dude, your a dumb ass. Don't you know? They're sisters from different misters".
