There are businesses big enough to thrive without customers that dont wear masks. There are also national chains that have suffered during the pandemic from all the lost customers. Most businesses have as much need of their customers spending as their customers have need of the goods and services the company/business provides. The idea is the king/queen has as much (or as little) need of his/her subjects as they have of their king/queen, and the king/queen/Pope was never the only one with the power to cut heads off, even if it's mostly the king/queen/Pope giving out all the orders.
The king/queen/Pope can live by his/her own mask policy, and everybody else can live by their own policy.

people who have an acute sense of how the world really is, instead of how society wants them to think it is. masks wear clothes most people wear, so the douchebags at school dont bother them. they do express their real feelings through art and music (listening to music). they DO have friends. most masks have had a lot of pain done to them. they dont like getting into fights. they are great companions whether it be friends or boyfriend/girlfriend, as they will always listen to and understand your problems.
Person1: dude i just saw that white-clothes guy reading a cursing book.
Person2: masks are like that i guess

People don't need to be told who their heroes should be, and they also don't need to be told they only care about people around them if they wear a mask (or a cape for that matter).
You don't need to prove you care about someone by wearing a mask. They are free to think you're selfish asshole if there is any freedom left in what has been described as a free country (though a country where they force people to wear a mask doesn't seem like much of a free country).
