Within the 5th week in season 4, she was eliminated which subsequently led to her beginning independent work on her own original material. In 2014, she had then released her song Dollhouse, her debut EP featuring the singles "Dollhouse" and then "Carousel". Carousel had been featured in the trailer for the TV series which is quite popular, "American Horror Story: Freak show". Then in 2015 Melanie released her conceptual debut album titled Cry Baby, featuring the critically acclaimed lead sing "Pity Party"! Along with her other single "Sippy Cup" and then "Soap". Melanie Martinez is now 21 years old and she was born April 28, 1995. Before all that, Melanie Martinez started with YouTube videos when she was a teen and mostly did covers but also had sang songs of her own that (she) had written. And when in High School (THEN) won the spot on The Voice (IN) 2012.
