Commonly used as a replacement of 'fooling around' or 'avoiding work'. Goofajing is to procrastinate and avoid work and/or other tasks that require a lot of time and effort.
Those who participate in the act of Goofajing are known as 'goofajers' (noun) these people like to goofage (verb)
