Joan Didion

A famous journalist, and author of "The White Album" among others. Her "unique writing" is basically her ranting about how everybody is stupid and being incredibly pretentious and condescending towards everything. Although great with words, she is incredibly sarcastic and passive aggressive, and in a few sentences can make anybody or anything (such as Jim Morrison) look like shit.

Annoying "intellectual" who hates on everything:
"Oh, Joan Didion is Awesome!"

is used to describe a product that is older than a new version of said product. analog is older than digital and the term is made from a combination of these words. this term is used despite the fact that a product line may be entirely digital or analog.

Melanie always considered the original iPod to be digilog compared to the newest models.
