Campus Crusade for Cthulhu

A student group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ran for the sole purpose of extracting serious lulz from the otherwise deadened student populace. The organization is a grotesque parody of the Campus Crusade for Christ but does reflect the cult-like following the works of Lovecraft et al. have garnered at MIT. Various activities include Sunday readings from the Necronomicon, the BBQ goat sacrifice during Campus Preview Weekend and Rush, and idol crafting circles. Their goal is to ensure they are eaten last when Cthulhu devours the world...so they can watch everyone else's suffering.

Student 1: "Hey, you gonna join CCC?"
Student 2: "Yeah, Christ rocks!"
Student 1: "Oh, no, man, I was talking about the Campus Crusade for Cthulhu!"

CCCMIT member: "Join us, and you shall be devoured last when mighty Cthulhu awakens and rises from the city of R'yleh!"

Cthulhu

A fictional character created by H.P Lovecraft a horror writer in 1919. Cthulhu is described as " A thing too horrible to describe." Although it is often though of having an octopus-like head, with bat-like wings, and being the size of a mountain. The very sight of Chthulhu can bring a grown man on his legs, and cry like a baby.
There are nut jobs out there, REALLY OUT THERE that worship it.

I find the concept of Cthulhu, and the cults....a little freaky.

I was bored, and googled Cthulhu, and am now insane YAY!

I found a Cthulhu based board game...<- this is really true.

Cloverfield was mistaken for a Cthulhu movie.

Less a god than a monstrous horror resembling an octopus, man, and dragon cojoined from a creation wholy unlike birth.
Best pronounced sucking water into your lungs whilst beining dragged down by a tentical.
Anyone shewn Cthulhu, sometimes even in representations fearfully crafted by his cults, cannot survive sane.

Cthuluism

The religion based on the person and teachings of Cthulhu

Cthulhu is a fictional cosmic entity created by writer H. P. Lovecraft and first introduced in the short story "The Call of Cthulhu".

Cthulhu also has a cult-like following in the real world. Some even believes Cthulhu is the worlds real savior, believing one day Cthulhu will reawaken and will Kill most of the Earths population leaving the cultist and believers

I believe in the religion of Cthuluism, and one day the elder god Cthulhu will return.
