cybergeist

"Cyber" for computer related; "geist" is German for "ghost", as in "poltergeist".
I created this word to refer to the maddening array of problems we all encounter with our computers that seem to defy explanation, even from frighteningly intelligent information technologists, and which are usually inexplicably "fixed" by rebooting the computer. Thus, a malicious ghost in the computer.
I can't find an explanation", said the computer repair tech after an hour's investigation. "What can I say, it's another cybergeist."
