baysplaining

A Baysplainer can be characterized as someone who didn’t grow up in the Bay Area (probably not even California), most likely works in tech, eats at “hole in the wall” restaurants (I.e. restaurants that used to actually be a hole in the wall, but was taken over by a new Asian/fusion spot), considers themselves a “foodie”, most likely lives in the City or Oakland, goes to Outside Lands, wears their work badge to the bars, and so on.

A Baysplainer tends try to explain to a local “the best parts of the Bay”, the local community, etc., and doesn’t realize the impact they may have had on the local community by moving here and thus, affecting the job market, housing market, influencing the quick rise of gentrification, etc.

I was talking to someone who works in tech and they started Baysplaining about what the Bay Area is like.

Bensplain

To Bensplain is when a goofy ginger person talks to another person in a condescending tone that implies they think of themself as smarter or superior in some way to the other person which he is not. Commonly an act performed by an adolescent ginger boy who thinks he has lived many lives already by the time he is 12.

The goofy ginger dude tried to bensplain me like, "Bro! What do you meeannnn you're only level 90 on fortnite? I've played for 3 weeks and its so easy, this is how you do it ......".

To mansplain something except not from a man, but from someone born from 1946-1964, otherwise known as Boomer.

My boomer friend had to boomsplain what *Hot Potato* was to me the other day. He said, "The game Hot Potato is a classic game from many of us older guys' youth....
