Beakage

When someone has a sudden overwhelming fear, with or without cause, that produces hysterical or irrational behavior, and that often spreads quickly through a group of persons. Originating from the Muppet character Beaker, who reacts in a panicked way when experimented on by Dr. Benson Honeydew.

The surge protector became unplugged when the janitor was vacuuming, causing major beakage in the office when the equipment was all powered off.
