wannabe hippies that have not grow up to be normally functioning adults in Austin society; they are characterized by their radical political and social belief systems including saving endangered species such as whales by campaigning on the Drag and Congress Avenue and being animal rights activists by being vegan; they have filthy dreadlocks, smell worse than the urine of a dehydrated alcoholic, don't shave (i.e. women don't shave their legs or underarms), have most of their exposed body covered in tattoos, extremely large piercings and normally live in clans (aka coops)

I was upset that the dirty Austinite did not wash his hands when he prepared my meal at Thundercloud Subs in order to save the environment by not using water.

I went to a party. They called it a barn dance but there was no barn. It had some bands playing, but the only people watching them were in the other bands. Everyone was talking about how they never go north of Town Lake anymore. It was very Austintatious.
