A “wait what” is a really annoying female who never knows what you’re talking about and half way through the conversation says “wait what”.

An extremely annoying catchphrase said at random times. Even when a conversation is about cars, the catchphrase is still not funny. Used rarely in the United States of America
Friend 1: So why do you like One Direction so much?
Sivan (Friend 2): I'm not obsessed, I just like some of their music.
Annoying Friend: Wait, are we talking about cars?
Sivan (Friend 2): Goshdammit, NO!
Annoying Friend: (Laughs and runs away)
