For example, if one molotov causes 50 HP, then throwing 3 molotovs at something in rapid succession will cause the additional damage to add on, or stack, to the current damage per second. Example: if I throw one molotov, I will cause 50 damage. Throwing 2 more molotovs will cause 150 damage per second. (50+100 (2 more))
