Next Weekend 

When someone says next weekend, it means the weekend coming up, unless the weekend has already started.

For example; if it were Tuesday January 10th, next weekend would refer to weekend coming up. As opposed to the weekend after next which refers to the weekend after this weekend.

Having an Average Weekend 

Name of the rock-based instrumental tune that opened and closed the syndicated Canadian TV show, THE KIDS IN THE HALL (1990s).

The song was performed by a rock trio called "Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet," which name is, unfortunately, one character too long to fit the 30-character limit for tags. The band (1984-1991) was based in Toronto and one of its members was/is friends with one of the Kids in the Hall. Shadowy Men had a successful career in its relatively brief life and has a reputation as both innovative and influential, in that it fused Punk with Surf styles. The group's bassist, Reid Diamond, died of cancer in 1991.

vampire weekend 

A multiple day sex binge with a girl while she is on her period. Going to a concert as opening act is optional as is it being an actual weekend. Some people insist oral sex on her is a requirement. Others (Van Helsing crowd) say simply staking her repeatedly and a bloody mess is all that is required, even going as far as to suggest deflowerings be included as vampire weekends.
