An analogy used when fax machines were common to describe a process that gives diminishing returns. When a document is sent between fax machines, the resulting copy is not perfect. If this copy is itself sent to a fax machine, the resulting copy of that copy is even further from the original, and so ad infinitum.

Get the Falking mug.The most unknown word in the dictionary. If you try to search it no matter what searching engine it is, you'll never find the meaning of this unknown word. This word gets mixed up FAANG and falling. Also, your search engine (no matter what search engine you use,) there's a very unknown word more unknown that is faa(s). When you search for the meaning, it says that it's an acronym. That is ofc false. So I really do think faaing (and faa(s)) is the most unknown word in the dictionary.

Get the Faxing mug."Flaking the chain" is usually a term yachties use for making sure a boat's anchor chain doesn't get tangled when pulled up inside the vessel... but it's ALSO slang for when dudes working on yachts bust a nut in confined staff cabins, usually a quickie and in secret when the bunkmate is away.
