You get ditched and replaced.

When someone is your "Friend" but they put jovial/pointless things ahead of you.
Your the only person to treat your buddy right. You make plans to be friends forever and treat each other like gold. Then they find someone thats good, but they are nothing to compare to the value you bring them. Can happen at Jesus Schools, High School, and University.

I was going to study with my friend and he was down. Soon after he ran out the building ditchplaced by (Girlfriend, Porn, etc).
