Decade.
Before the '90s and after the '70s. many people look back on that time with happiness, thinking of the invention of the internet and the movement in music and, lukily, hairstyles. Many also look back with remorse, with a single thought "what was i thinking??"

i was born in the wrong decade. an '80s chick sounds a lot better than sum1 born l8r than when most of their favourite music was released.

the 80s

The greatest decade in American culture and media. During this time, major medical advances were made, including successful antibiotics and the MRI. Some of the greatest bands ever were born in this 10-year era. Bands such as Duran Duran, Bon Jovi, Ozzy Osbourne, Mike and The Mechanics, and Tears For Fears. Meanwhile, other bands that had already been formed became even more popular and successful. These include Chicago, Genesis, The Moody Blues, The Cars, REO Speedwagon, and Journey.
Some of the greatest movies ever were also produced during this time period. 80s Movies like Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Uncle Buck, The Breakfast Club, Beverly Hills Cop, Rainmain, Back To The Future, Ghostbusters, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and Glory will forever be enshrined as some of the most awesome films ever made.

I consider myself to be a "Child of The 80s", being born in February 1986. I grew up on the music of the mid and late 80s, as well as the early 90s. I still get great enjoyment from watching movies from that era. The culture, music, and TV of today sure makes me long for the 80s again; today's culture and media is very shitty in my opinion.
