Try-hard Alpha Wannabe

Men that, because of societal, parental, and/or environmental pressure to make part of the stereotypical hyper-masculine men in their childhoods, often needs to mock other people down to inflate their ego and hide their insecurities, fearing judgmental looks from society for not being “masculine enough”.

Their targets are mostly men that do not fit in the stereotype, such as soy boys, male feminists, betas, nerds, ETC. Making disrespectful commentaries about their life, and how they're not “manly” enough. While also constantly picks up unnecessary and meaningless fights with others that can easily be solved with dialog.

They're also extremely defensive by the simplest of jokes about them, such as a friend ironically calling them gay, or saying no homo next to him. While often consider themselves as “conservatives” or “alt-right”, which contributes to the stereotype that makes the entire movement look bad.

They can often be seen sharing posts about what a “true men” really is and sometimes say heavy sexist things about women.

"Why don't you leave this guy alone, try-hard alpha wannabe? you're only making a fool of yourself by mocking him down!"

Try hard

A person that just does the most and her effort is greatly appreciated because it's sick to have a person in your life that puts in the best she has when she does something (it's a compliment)

Try Hard

Someone who puts great effort into achieving small, unimportant objectives (e.g. drop shotting to get a quick kill, studying for a quiz, etc.) and often fails in the process, thus creating more embarrassment, due to the fact that they tried incredibly hard.

Brandon Pugh is a textbook example of a try hard. He consumes his leisure hours scanning and memorizing his Physical Science textbook; he is then later scolded for knowing completely nothing about it, and failing all his quizzes. This then reduces him to a completely monotonous, often suicidal facial expression, which indeed points out his try hardness.

Try hard

1. A person who tries hard to impress or tries to be something they are not.

2. What somebody would say to anybody who does a little better than them while playing an online game. The person who calls them a "try hard" probably can't handle getting killed or not getting the first kill of the game so they use this as an insult to feel better.

"Wow look at Nick with his shutter shades, what a try hard!"

Too hard basket

A metaphorical in-tray, or basket, into which ideas and/or tasks are mentally placed because they are are deemed to be taboo or extremely difficult to handle.

Sex for the seriously disabled is a subject that goes into many people's too hard basket.

The ordination of homosexual bishops is a concept that finds it's way into the too hard basket of many conservative church goers.
