Get the Hope worldmug. Used to describe someone who is barely hanging on with little left in their personal gas tank. Their slightest bit of hope, oftentimes irrational, is the only thing still driving them. All the person needs to do is stop and fill up their tank but they keep pushing it through the next exit and the next exit until they eventually run out of gas on the desolate highway.
Person A : "Todd hasn't made a sale in 2 years and he works on a commission only basis. He thinks his next deal is close though and will be a huge payday."
Person B: "Yeah, he's running on hope fumes."
Person B: "Yeah, he's running on hope fumes."

Get the hope fumesmug. One of the cutest couples i know. They make eachother laugh. Hope cares about Alyssa with all her heart. Nobody will ever change hopes mind Alyssa is the one. Alyssa is truly in love with the way hope acts and Alyssa just loves her so much. They do fight about dumb things and cry alot that's because they love eachother more than words can describe.

Get the alyssa and hopemug. British slang term given to the twenty pound note. Taken from "Land of Hope and Glory", the composer of which, Sir Edward Elgar, is depicted on the back of the note. Also, since it is worth a lot of honk, gives the owner 'hope and glory'.
