scene

a 'label', just like any other, for guys&&girls with shorter/choppier&& darker hair than others. They usually are the people with piercings or tatoos or the people you see hanging around waiting for a show to start. People tend to make fun of the 'scene' guys by calling them fags,gay,or anyother offensive term because of their style. (i.e wearing tight girl pants) they also make fun of them for trying to be different but still ending up exactly the same as they're friends when in all actuality no one is going to be different or an individual than everyone else. chances are there's someone exactly like you out there. being scene is a label. and anyone who labels others is contradicting themselves.

being scene, emo, hardcore, preppy, skater. they're all labels.

scenestar

someone who behaves in a prescribed way to fit in with a certain group of people. often having to do with emo.indie.punk.rock . spelled incorrectly with 'star' at the end to emphasize the cookie cutter nature of the people, stars being very common symbols within this genre.

black hair, dark eyes, converse, nautical stars, lip ring, vain, shallow

i wouldnt talk to her, shes a scenestar.

of course all the scenestars will be there.

Seneca Highschool

A highschool in Tabernacle, New Jersey. The student count is a little over 1200 students. Only about 14 students are black. However, this school awesome enough for it's students to break at least one record every year and send a hitman to dropkick and set on fire anyone who thinks otherwise.

I go to Seneca Highschool, because it is awesome.

scene bands

underground bands that are NOT screamo or screeching but an alternative rockish indie popish sound. some are acoustic and some aren't. it really varies within the band itself.

theyre are many types of scene. some are grunge, goth, punk, emo, and the typical "scene kid."

scene kids dress in a unique way. they like fun things like bold colors and just try to be different and stand out. they don't wanna be the normal abercrombie preppy girl. they have lots of confidence most of the time. they can be really nice or mean, depending on the person.
honestly, its not nice to label someone something because of how the act or dress. its just people who like certain things.

ex- scene bands: something corporate. just one example.

Schenectady

A small city in the Capital District of Albany, NY which, it seems if one gets their info from urban dictionary, is inhabited by bigoted, narrow minded, racist, illiterate, people who don't seem to understand the effects of poverty and discrimnation on people of color or anyone else for that matter. Schenectady is a city which has beautiful old buildings and a nicely laid out down town that, yes, has been underdeveloprd commercially over at least the past 30 years or so (a lot because the shopping malls have taken business away from downtown )and buildings have fallen into disrepair. However, there currently is a revitalization project going on and the city has been looking pretty good and new businesses are opening all the time. So for those ignorant residents of the city who spend their time spouting racist and repugnant views, why don't you help the city improve instead.

Schenectady is the home of the historic and beautiful Proctor's Theater.

The 'tougher', 'cooler' version of emo. Making it okay to make fun of emo kids because you're scene which, is way different.

Scene girl: "HAHA, LOOK AT THE STUPID EMO KID. I BET YOU SLIT YOUR WRISTS! IS THAT RIGHT BABE?"

Scene girl's friend: "..You wore her same outfit on Monday."

scenester

Generally adolescents aged 15-20 who are involved in the "scenes" surrounding emo and indie (occasionaly other types of music as well, including punk with it's mohawked fashion punks) for whom the scene is more important than the music itself. They place greater importance upon the style of dress, knowledge of "cool" bands and being a part of the scene than the music that is the centre of the scene. They are the death of many scenes and are to be shunned.

He's such a scenester! He spends all his cash on scarves! Damned emo kids.
