Theban

A male who's exclusively sexually and/or romantically attracted to other males (MLM). The male equivalent to lesbian.

The word derives it's meaning from the Sacred Band of Thebes, the elite of the Theban army consisting entirely of 150 pairs of male lovers that ended Spartan domination in ancient Greece.

In the city-state of Thebes, men could formalize their loving union in the temple of Iolaus, beloved of Hercules, live together for the rest of their lives and be buried side by side in the same way as heterosexual couples. The best warrior couples among them were elected to the Sacred Band.

Thebans are only attracted to other men.
