This term originates from the rules of Quidditch, a sport in author J.K. Rowling's fictional world of witchcraft & wizardry, in which there are multiple ways to score a handful of points, but the if a seeker catches the Golden Snitch –an action that immediately ends the game– they receive 15x a normal scoring point in the game, thus almost always securing the victory even if they were significantly behind in the rest of the game.

We worked our butts off to score well all semester, but the professor pulled some Quidditch Rules bullsh*t and gave the team who did best on last week's assignment 15x the points of all the other assignments, so the team in last place won.

Rule 10 refers to 'Rule 10' in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Ireland server, stating
"Rule 10, No Violent or Self-Harm Speech.
We strictly prohibit any form of violent or self-harm speech directed towards others. This includes advocating violence, using hateful language, violent abbreviations, or making threats. Any such speech will result in immediate action. Let's foster a respectful and welcoming environment for all members."
As a means to avoid time-out, 'Rule 10' is used as a substitute to the word 'kill' in the phrases 'kill yourself' or 'i am going to kill myself'.

Applies to sports bars that are always right near capacity, but you could always find a seat.
These unicorn bars are the best of both worlds for fans: A great atmosphere AND people know they could still get in without reservations.

War is good for business - Ferengi Rule of Acquisition 34. Easily confused with the 35th Rule, which is that peace is good for business.
Lt. Dax mistakenly stated that Rule 34 was that peace was good for business. Quark corrected her and told her that was actually the 35th Rule.
